Brookland Baptist Church was constituted in 1897. The first permanent church building was located on Lynch Street in Brookland and was dedicated on October 27, 1929. Since that time the church has continued to grow with salvations and baptisms taking place very routinely.

On July 5, 1995 Brookland Baptist Church voted to buy an area of land that would eventually become our present location on US 49. The plans for the new church building were begun the next year with the committee being formed to build the new church in September of 1996. The new church building was dedicated on August 27, 2000. In 2006 the church began to grow in ways that it had never before and more room was needed to accomidate Sunday School growth. The church voted to build a new Educational Building in early 2007. In April of 2008 we moved into our new Educational Building which consists of ten classrooms including a new youth room and the Youth Pastor's office.

Since our beginning in 1897 we have actively seeked and listened for the will of God and have tried to be an effective representative of the kingdom of God to our community.
